Hi Sebastian

This is just a limitation of windows. iOS and OSX both do captive portal
detection, allowing it to know there is a captive portal. You'll probably
find the Windows machine is attempting to go to an SSL (HTTPS) site and
hence the long timeout.
I believe Windows 8.1 might have captive portal detection.
