Consider using virtualization technologies, it's easier to carry the whole system with little or no "chaos". In my case, I use proxmox, I've had to upgrade my hard drive. The experience in moving my grase server was seamless.

Restoring these databases will restore most settings. It won't restore any customisations you've made to templates outside of the admin interface. It won't restore any logos/images you've uploaded.
