It sounds like you may need to modify the database to reset the password.

Have a look at
https://github.com/GraseHotspot/grase-www-portal/blob/production/files/usr/share/dbconfig-common/data/grase-www-portal/install/mysql
for the initial database install settings (including the password hash) and
you should be able to overwrite the wrong value in your install.
