Can you please confirm that /var/log/squid3/access.log is empty? Also, 
have you modified any of your squid3 files?

It all works for me, so I'm probably going to release 3.7.7.6 as stable 
now as squid3 not working won't horribly break the basic functionality, 
and until we have more people running it we might not be able to work 
out why people are having issues.
