Hi Edward

If you read on the groups page, you'll see which settings are applied at
user creation time, and which are inherited from the group. The inherited
ones will apply to users in the group, if you change the group. The
creation time ones (expiry for example) applies at creation only (or change
of group).

What settings are you trying to change that aren't applying?
