Other than that line I said to put in, I can't see anything else obvious.
That line shouldn't have locked out your LAN, which suggests something
isn't right with your setup. Also, looking at the packet counts, it
certainly looks like CoovaChilli is running on your WAN interface, even
though the config says otherwise.

While it's running, can you please show us the output of the following
commands

ls /var/run/chilli.*
ps aux| grep chilli
cat /etc/chilli/main.conf
