Thanks for the reply. The internet connection is working, As I say machine accounts (both IPod Touches in the house) not only get a valid ip (10.1.0.x) with the correct gateway and dns (10.1.0.1) they can also connect on the internt and retrieve pages. Also from the SSH console It seems that the update is working and
Other clients get an IP address in the correct range and can ping the gateway.
Sorry for the screenshots, but they say a picture tells a thousand words. The second shows the post login screen at the ssh term and internet access working from the command line.
