The way i got around this issue is:

You need to create a new group and change the expiry to + 1 week, +1 month etc.

There is a link on the group page which defines the syntax you need to use. Once you have done this create a user add them to the group you just created.

In the users tab you should be able to sort the users according to the group they belong to.
