i will be editing the squid.conf so i will copy the orig squid.conf
 and place it on the /etc/squid3/grase.d directory and edit it from there
..am i right with this steps tim? sory..just a newbie..

    As long as you have updated since Feb this year, you can create
    files in /etc/squid3/grase.d/ with the file extension .conf and
    it'll be read by squid at startup (and not overwritten by updates).
