I managed to get it working by rebuilding the package (using debuild) to compile against libssl1.0.0

Now I only have to wait for the sysadmin to wake up (it's 5.26am here now) and reconfigure grase and the network.
After reinstalling the database backups, restarting chilli broke the network, and I can't get access, and it's a 5 hour drive to get there. and I don't get paid to do this. ;-)=
