You can set a different IP subnet for the lan side (I guess that is what 
you want to do if you want something different from 10.1.0.1) from the 
admin interface through the "Network Settings" menu. You don't need any 
patches to do that.

My patches add a field to the above network settings which enables you to 
set a lan name different from "hotspot.lan".
