Can you confirm that this happens after you connect to the network? 
After applying the update, all active sessions are logged out, and it's 
possible that if you are connected at that time, that it'll force you to 
log in, however if you disconnect from the network and reconnect 
(forcing DHCP to reissue not just renew) it should log you in automatically.
I can't reproduce the problem on my side, mac address logins are working 
fine for me.

The only other thing i'd try is in the Coova Chilli Settings page, is 
change the MAC Auth password so that it forces all current computer 
accounts passwords to change encase you have a mismatch somewhere (i.e. 
manually changed it somewhere). Then again, test by disconnecting from 
the network and reconnecting the client.
