But I think maybe because the WAN of the server is connected to a router 
why this problem is occuring.

The server is not the direct gatway to the internet. I'm doing this for 
testing reasons and don't think this should be an issue, but mentioning it 
just in case.

So its actually ROUTER--->GRASE--->AP--->CLIENT

I also notice that in my network config(client pc) the gateway is 10.1.0.1 
so maybe this is what is producing the issue?
