The WAN connection should be managed (ideally use /etc/network/interfaces
to set it up). The LAN connection should be unmanaged. (See
http://grasehotspot.org/documentation/hardware-setup/ for how to ensure
network manager isn't trying to do things with it).

Even if the LAN and WAN settings are correct in the Admin interface, please
ensure you hit save, and then reboot, as the settings can appear incorrect
but not actually be applied until you hit save and reboot.

Does your client machines get an IP address in the 10.1.0.X range?
What is your WAN ip range?
