Hi glyn...
After some messing about i got it working....
Changes i made...
1-set briged vmnic1 to local host lan card.
2- set nat vmnic2 ip to 192.168.1.x/24
3- setup ap without gateway and dns
4- used normal nw cable
5- turned off win firewall and ipsec service
6- turned of norton firewall
Its not secure at moment so will have to play about with firewall rules etc but it finally works...
Thanx again for your help

If the host is 192.168.1.x /24 then the bridged vm adaptor should also have the same first three octets. I have found it very difficult in practice to use the wi-fi adaptor to bridge correctly on my version of VmWare workstation. I would also set the second adaptor in your vm to be bridged to your other adaptor. Note that some firewalls and security software make this tricky. On my work laptop I used to be only able to NAT, but since the latest corp mcafee went on I can’t even do that any more.
